Insomniacs After School TV Anime Unveils Trailer & 2023 Release Date

The cast and staff of the anime has also been revealed.

The official website and Twitter account for Insomniacs After School(Kimi wa Hōkago Insomnia) TV Anime unveiled its first trailer video and key visual on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

The key visual features the two main characters walking in the city of Nanao with a beautiful starry sky in the backdrop.

The trailer revealed a 2023 release date for the anime in Japan. The website also released character designs for the main characters along with the cast and staff.

The main cast includes voice actor Gen Sato as Ganta Nakami and Konomi Tamura as Isaki Magari. The character designs for the two roles are as follows:

Insomniacs After School is being directed by Yuki Ikeda at studio LIDEN FILMS, with series composition by Rintaro Ikeda, character designs by Hiroaki Fukuda, and music by Yuki Hayashi.

The franchise has also teamed up with “81st Nanao Port Festival” to be held on July 17, in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture where the newly drawn collaboration visuals and leaflets will be distributed.

Furthermore, the manga and the astronomical magazine Hoshi Navi have decided to hold a starscape photo contest (Astro Arts). Details will be released at a later date.

In January, the Insomniacs After School franchise also reported a live-action film adaptation is under works.

Kimi wa Hōkago Insomnia is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Ojiro. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits since May 2019.

Shogakukan collected its chapters into individual tankōbon volumes. The first volume was released on September 12, 2019. As of January 12, 2022, eight volumes have been released. In France, the manga has been licensed by Soleil Manga

The Japanese band Macaroni Enpitsu released a music video for their single “Enshin” (“Centrifuge”), which featured art from the manga, on November 21, 2019.
