The official Twitter account of PVR Cinemas revealed on Sep 19, 2023, that they will be releasing the first of the two part sequel anime film of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai series, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out, in theatres in India.

The film will be released on Oct 13, 2023.

The film released in Japan on June 23, 2023.

Previously, Aniplex Online Fest 2022 announced a sequel anime film project. It adapts the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid from the light novel.

The staff and cast from the anime reprised their roles for the film.

A 13-episode anime television series adaptation, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, aired from Oct 4 to Dec 27, 2018. The series was animated by CloverWorks and directed by Soichi Masui, with Kazuya Iwata as assistant director, Masahiro Yokotani handling series composition, and Satomi Tamura designing the characters.

The anime series adapted the series’ first through fifth volumes. 

An anime film adaptation, titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (Seishun Buta Yarō wa Yumemiru Shōjo no Yume o Minai), premiered on June 15, 2019. The film adapts the series’ sixth and seventh volumes. The staff and cast reprised their roles from the anime.

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, known in Japan as Seishun Buta Yaro, is a Japanese light novel series written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi. ASCII Media Works have published twelve volumes since April 2014 under their Dengeki Bunko imprint.

A manga adaptation with art by Tsugumi Nanamiya has been serialized in ASCII Media Works’ seinen manga magazine Dengeki G’s Comic since December 2015.
