Hatsune Miku Joins Dropkick On My Devil!! X TV Anime, Unveils Key Visual

The anime is set to premiere in Japan on July 2022.

During the AnimeJashin event in Akihabara on Sunday, March 27, 2022 the popular anime franchise Dropkick on My Devil! announced that virtual idol Hatsune Miku will join the cast in the third season of the TV series.

The event also had Miku as a special guest who unveiled a new key visual for the upcoming season.

In addition to the new visual, the Dropkick On My Devil!! X anime revealed Hatsune Miku character designs, including her signature leek. She will appear in the anime’s main plot, according to the announcement.

The anime is set to premiere in Japan in July 2022. Prior to the main broadcast, on April 6, the Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting Co., Ltd. station will begin airing its own version of the Dropkick on My Devil! X Mame Anime programme.

The special version of the program is linked to the Domingo multimedia project, which highlights the features of Hokkaido.

The main cast of the anime includes:

  • Aina Suzuki as Jashin-chan
  • Nichika Omori as Yurine Hanazano
  • Ruri Asano as Ecute
  • Rena Hasegawa as Atre

Studio Nomad is animating the third season of Dropkick on My Devil! anime (also known as Jashin-chan Dropkick X).

Dropkick on My Devil! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukiwo. The series began serialization in Flex Comix’s Comic Meteor web magazine in April 2012. Eighteen volumes have been released as of December 2021.

An anime television series adaptation by Nomad aired on BS-Fuji from July to September 2018, with an additional episode streamed online on Oct 1, 2018. A second season aired from April to June 2020.

The first season of the TV anime adaptation is streaming on Amazon Prime, while Crunchyroll currently streams the second season, Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash, and describes the story of the series as follows:

Jashin-chan looks back on the day Hanazono Yurine summoned her. So long as Yurine lives, Jashin-chan can’t return to Hell.
