Goodbye, Don Glees! Anime Film Reveals English Dub Trailer & Cast

The film will release in the U.S on Sep 14, 2022.

The official GKIDS YouTube channel revealed on Aug 18, 2022, a new English dubbed trailer for Goodbye, Don Glees! anime film ahead of its theatrical screening by GKIDS in the U.S on Sep 14, 2022.

The film will only be available in the theatres on Sep 14, 18 and 20.

They have also revealed a new set of cast members for the English dub version of the film.

The English dub cast for Goodbye, Dog Glees! includes:

  • Adam McArthur: Roma.
  • Nick Wolfhard: Toto.
  • Jonathan Leon: Drop.
  • Victoria Grace: Tivoli.
  • Barbara Goodson: Mrs. Ando.
  • Stephanie Sheh: Roma’s Mother.
  • Alan Lee: Roma’s Father.
  • And Laura Stahl: Toto’s Sister.

Goodbye, Don Glees! is a Japanese anime film produced by Madhouse and directed by Atsuko Ishizuka. It was released in Japan on Feb 18, 2022.

The anime film was directed and scripted by Atsuko Ishizuka, with Takahiro Yoshimatsu designing the characters and Kadokawa distributing the film. Yoshiaki Fujisawa composed the music. The film’s main theme song is “Rock the World” performed by Alexandros.

A manga adaptation, written and illustrated by Shinki, began serialization in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Gene magazine on Oct 15, 2021. The adaptation completed its serialization on Feb 15, 2022.

GKIDS describes the plot of Goodbye, Don Glees! as:

Teen misfits Roma, Toto, and Drop call themselves the “Don Glees,” an informal name for their backyard adventures. One day, when the trio gets blamed for a nearby forest fire, they set off into the woods to prove their innocence. As disaster strikes their expedition, tensions flare between the friends as they realize that growing up has taken them on wildly different paths in life.
