Jujutsu Kaisen manga author Gege Akutami recently shared his thoughts on the 9th episode of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, which aired on Sep 22, 2023, praising the adaptation and certain standout moments.
In his comment, Akutami expressed his admiration on the portrayal of Gojo Satoru in the episode, mentioning that he was way cooler and scarier in the anime than in the manga.
Another standout moment Akutami highlighed was when Jogo, a cursed spirit, emerged from a cloud of smoke and regenerated his arm. He described the scene as badass and that it made him laugh.

Thanks for season two episode 9!!
Gojo was way cooler and scarier than in the manga!! The timing when Jogo came out of the smoke and his arm regrew was so badass, I actually laughed. And the lip synching was perfect. I got so hyped!!
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 released on July 6, 2023, and will run for two consecutive cours.
The second cour of the season started airing on Aug 31, 2023.
Tatsuya Kitani will perform the opening theme song “Ao no Sumika”, while Soushi Sakiyama will perform the ending theme song “Akari”.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The Jujutsu Kaisen chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with 23 tankobon volumes released as of July 2023.
Season 1 of the anime adaptation by MAPPA aired from October 2020 to March 2021.
A movie adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premiered in Japan in December 2021.
