Gojo Satoru’s Gag Phrase Ranked Second To ‘Ussewa’ On Insta Buzzword Awards

A dead American TV drama got recognition because of Satoru Gojo's ground-breaking popularity on Instagram.

“Petrel”, a trend-preceding media planned and operated by Pasture Co., Ltd. announced the “Insta Buzzword Award” and “Insta Buzzword Award by Category” for the first half of 2021 on 15th June.

“Insta Buzzword Award” is an award awarded to ideas, things, and people that became a trend that year supervised under the trend-preceding media Petrel.

“Usseewa” (98%) won the first place in the “Insta Buzzword Award” in the first half of 2021. The debut song of Ado, an 18-year-old female singer who made her major debut in October last year, has exceeded 150 million YouTube views of music videos (as of June).

Following the trend, the character of the greatly-talked-about manga “Jujutsu Kaisen” Gojo Satoru’s “Otsukare Samantha(お疲れサマンサ)” ranked second(89% votes). “Otsukare Samantha” is originally a popular word triggered by the American TV drama “Bewitched”. It massively became a hot topic recently due to Gojo Satoru’s popularity.

In fact, Gojo Satoru’s lines also include some more gag phrases like “Otsukare Summerland” and “Otsukare Summer Ranch”!

In the third place, “Skeletal type” (87%) a new lifestyle word became a hot topic among fashionable girls. Skeletal diagnosis is classified into three skeletal types, “straight / wave / natural”, taking into account the characteristics of the natural body line and texture, and how muscles and fat are attached.

In addition, “Critical hit” (86%), “Pushing glass” (65%), “Thank you Nyanichini-san” (61%), “Is there a guy who is hilarious?” (59%), “undulating candles” (49%), “playing in Korea” (36%), and “hokansu” (15%) became the remaining top buzzwords of Instagram for the first half of 2021.
