Oscar nominated director Mamoru Hosoda’s most anticipated animated feature film “Belle” will release in North America this winter, the official twitter account of Gkids announced.

The Studio Chizu-produced coming of age tale will release in Japan on July 16 to commemorate the Studio’s 10th anniversary.

According to Gkids ‘Belle” will release theatrically in both its original Japanese language and an English dubbed version this winter, and will qualify the film for 2021 awards consideration.

As mentioned earlier, the film will feature many most awaited voices in the cast with the two most notable voices for the main roles. Singer-songwriter Kaho Nakamura will debut in the dual role of Belle/Suzu first time in the anime industry while veteran actor Koji Yakusho had voiced as Suzu’s father in the film.

The story of “Belle” follows a 17-year-old high school student living in a rural village with her father. For years, she has only been a shadow of herself. One day, she enters U, a virtual world of 5 billion members and where she has become Belle, a world-famous singer. She soon meets with a mysterious creature and embark on a journey of adventures, challenges and love, in their quest to become who they truly are.
