Mangaka Hiroyuki and Shonen Magazine announced on their official Twitter account on May 24, 2023, that Girlfriend, Girlfriend manga has come to an end after being serialized on Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine for over 3 years.
The final chapter 144 was published on magazine’s issue #25, which released on May 24, 2023.
The author also dropped an illustration featuring Saki Saki, Rika Hoshizaki, Shino Kiryuu, and Nagisa Minase to commemorate the ending of the manga.

Girlfriend, Girlfriend is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Hiroyuki. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine from March 2020 to May 2023, and has been compiled into fifteen tankobon volumes as of April 2023.
An anime television series adaptation by Tezuka Productions aired from July to September 2021 on the Animeism programming block. A second season by SynergySP is set to premiere in October 2023.
MAL describes the plot of the manga as:
After harboring an unrequited love for years, Naoya Mukai finally gets to date his childhood friend, Saki Saki. However, just as he tries to commit himself to this relationship, he receives an abrupt confession from Nagisa Minase.
At first, Naoya tries to reject her but is soon overcome by feelings of not wanting to hurt Nagisa. Trying to avoid betraying his girlfriend’s trust in him, Naoya thinks up a “solution” to make both girls happy—two-timing. Naturally, Saki rebuffs this idea, but through Naoya’s and Nagisa’s persistence, she reluctantly submits.
With this, a three-way affair begins between Naoya, his girlfriend, and his “other” girlfriend, as they develop a relationship that deviates from the social norm.
