Gintama Anime Final Settlement Event To Take Place In March

The final settlement event is called "Ato no Matsuri".

The final settlement event of Gintama anime series based on Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama manga will be held in March 19, 2023. The event will take place at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. This will be the 7th time the anime series will be holding a special event since March 2010.

The final settlement event is called “Ato no Matsuri” which translates literally to “post-festival”. However, it also translates to “it is too late to regret”. Although, the literal meaning of the title means: a festival after the anime is over.

Thus, the catchphrase is Atonomatsuri will begin! Let’s go together to the other side of the final!

The event will have all of the main seiyu cast gathering once again. The cast includes Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata), Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi Shimura), Rie Kugimiya (Kagura), Susumu Chiba (Isao Kondo), Kazuya Nakai (Toshiro Hijikata), Kenichi Suzumura (Sougo Okita), Tetsuhara Ohta (Sagaru Yamazaki), Mikako Takahashi (Sadaharu / Tsu Terakado).

Also, DOES a Japanese rock band consisting of 3 members will also be performing at the event. They provided theme songs for the anime. Advance ticket lottery will be held from October 11 to 27.

Hideaki Sorachi’s original manga began serializing in 2003. And ended in June 2019 with over 55 million copies sold. The manga also received television anime series with multiple seasons as well as two previous anime films. The last anime season aired in July 2018.

Crunchyrolls streams all the season of the anime with English subtitles. In addition, it has also various OVA episodes, event anime, two live action movies, and two live action spin off series.

Viz media publishes the English version of the manga and serialized them for the first 23 volumes.

The series is critically acclaimed by both critics and fans alike as one of the best anime series of all time. The parodies and the gags of other anime series especially those of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball Z brought the series to viewers notice.
