Following the successful conclusion of WAM! Nagpur 2025 (WAVES Anime & Manga Contest), Kayra Animation Studio, Central India’s largest animation studio, has committed its support to nurture the talent showcased during the event.
Impressed by the remarkable creativity and skills demonstrated, Kayra Animation has pledged concrete support for WAM! participants in the form of job placements. The studio, headquartered in Indore, will also offer internships to budding artists seeking to launch their careers in the animation industry.
Mr. Arpit Dubey, CEO of Kayra Animation Studio and Co-Chairman of the MP AVGC-XR Media and Entertainment Association, expressed enthusiasm about the caliber of talent on display.
“The creativity and skill we’ve witnessed at WAM! Nagpur is extraordinary. It is inspiring to see so many young artists pushing the boundaries of animation and storytelling,” Dubey said.
He emphasized Kayra Animation’s dedication to cultivating this potential by providing career opportunities to winners and internships to promising newcomers, underscoring India’s potential to become a global animation powerhouse.
Organized by the Media & Entertainment Association of India (MEAI) in partnership with G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), the event saw enthusiastic participation from some of the region’s most promising creators in anime, manga, webtoon, voice acting, and cosplay.

• Professional Winner: Entangled Studio (Shubhranshu Singh, Shephali Singh, Nihal Dungdung, Pratham Virani)
Winners received rewards including WACOM Pen Tablets, merchandise from Faber-Castell and TRIO, as well as cash prizes.
Notably, Anime category winners were promised English, Hindi, and Japanese dubs of their pilot episodes, ensuring extensive international reach.
Additionally, the webtoon winners secured distribution agreements with Toonsutra, further amplifying their exposure within the industry.
The jury panel consisted of prominent industry leaders, including Sushil Bhasin, CMD of Bhasin Group and President of MEAI; Arpit Dubey from Kayra Animation; and Nilesh Patel, CEO of Nilesh Patel Animation Studio. Esteemed academicians from GHRCEM, such as Dr. Vivek Kapur, Prof. Anupam Chaube, Dr. Sandhya Dahake, and Prof. Neeraj Kumar Jha, attended the awards ceremony, reinforcing the essential collaboration between academia and the animation industry.

The event, part of the broader WAVES (World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit) initiative, continued the momentum set by its predecessors held across multiple Indian cities, including Mumbai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Varanasi, and Delhi.
By bringing together diverse creative talent under one roof, WAM! Nagpur provided a vibrant platform driving forward the nation’s “Create in India” initiative.
