Fire Force Manga Celebrates Final Volume Release With Special Advertisement In Shinjuku Station

The advertisement features Shinra Kusakabe and other characters with "Enen" written on the backdrop.

To commemorate the release of it’s 34th and final volume, Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force manga, Kodansha released an advertisement video on a 45.6 meters long LED panel at the JR Shinjuku Station on May 23, 2022.

The advertisement featuring Shinra Kusakabe and other characters with “Enen” written on the backdrop will be up till May 29 on the East-West Free Passage in Shinjuku Station, Tokyo.

Japanese daily Yomiuri Shimbun had also posted a full-page memorial advertisement for Fire Force on May 17 to commemorate the release of the final volume.

Fire Force is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Atsushi Ōkubo. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since September 2015. The manga came to an end in the 13th issue of the magazine after being serialized for six years.

Though Kodansha asked readers to look forward to Ohkubo’s next work, no new information about the same has been revealed yet.

Fire Force manga currently has 17.5 million copies in circulation.

An anime television series adaptation by David Production aired from July to December 2019 on the MBS’s Super Animeism block. A second season aired from July to December 2020. The anime has been licensed by Funimation.

Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine issue #25 revealed that a third season of Fire Force anime is currently under the works.
