Aniplex of America announced during the Fate 20th Anniversary Showcase Live event in Los Angeles that the Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel movie trilogy will begin streaming on Crunchyroll next month.
The trilogy, consisting of Presage Flower, Lost Butterfly, and Spring Song, will be available to stream starting Dec 19, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PT.
The movie trilogy will be accessible to viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Channel Islands, Malta, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, South Africa, and Latin America. Subtitles will be available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with English-dubbed versions also provided.
The original Fate/stay night visual novel, created by Type-Moon, features three distinct story routes. The Heaven’s Feel trilogy adapts the third and final route of the VN.
It is not a sequel to Unlimited Blade Works. Instead, each route explores the Holy Grail War from different perspectives, with Heaven’s Feel focusing on Shirou Emiya and Sakura Matou.
The movies are comparatively darker and feature more personal conflicts. Check out the watch order for Fate series here.
The trilogy, produced by Ufotable, was helmed by Tomonori Sudō, with screenplay by Akira Hiyama, and score composed by Yuki Kajiura.
The first film, Presage Flower, premiered in Japan on Oct 14, 2017, and was released in the United States between November and December of the same year. Its English dub followed on June 5 and June 7, 2018.

The second installment, Lost Butterfly, debuted in Japan on Jan 12, 2019, and was released in the United States in March 2019.
The trilogy concluded with Spring Song, which premiered in Japan on Aug 15, 2020, and in the United States on Nov 18, 2020.
The plot of the first movie is described by Aniplex as follows:
he boy wished to protect the girl. That was his thought.
10 years after the Holy Grail War—a battle waged by Masters and Servants over the wish-granting container, the Holy Grail—another war breaks out in Fuyuki City.
Shirou Emiya—the adopted son of Kiritsugu Emiya, a participant of the previous Holy Grail War—resolves to fight, carrying out Kiritsugu’s dying wish.
There’s a young girl by Shirou’s side —Sakura Matou. Every morning, she goes to Shirou’s house to make breakfast and dinner for him, bringing kindness into the life of a boy utterly alone in the world.
But once the Holy Grail War starts, there’s a change in the air in Fuyuki City. Murders abound across the city, and the atmosphere grows ominous. Shirou decides to shelter Sakura in his home.
Along with Saber, the Servant he summons, Shirou allies himself with the magus Rin Tohsaka and takes part in the Holy Grail War.
But the battle starts to go awry as secret maneuvers by unseen forces are put into play.
