The infamous Bunshun Online, known for snooping around the lives of Japanese idols and voice actors for affairs and other “indecent” behaviour, is at it once again, this time catching voice cast of Miku Nakano from Quintessential Quintuplets, Miku Ito, living with a man.
Turns out the man is none other than Chihiro Okutani from Candy Boy.
As per the reports by Bunshun, approximately two hours after Miku entered her “luxurious Tokyo apartment,” a young man showed up, and walked straight to her place like “he was already used to it”, and only left the next day in a “different attire”.
Bunshun confronted Miku Ito regarding the affair, to which she refused to give any statements.
This incident also led to Miku receiving backlash from her fans, leading to them reselling her merchandises, signed photos, autographs, photo albums, badges, among others, all of which turned up on a Japanese online market, Mercari.
However when the report came to light, Miku took to Twitter to apologise to her fans for the inconvenience caused by her personal affairs.
“I am very sorry for the trouble I have caused in my private life. I will continue to strive forward as an actor and an artist, and I look forward to your continued support.“
In reply to this, fans showered her with support, telling her that she needn’t apologize for falling in love.
“Heyy, don’t apologize to us. You have right to have a relationship, in fact if you’re happy with that we as a fan also happy!“
“Mikku has nothing to apologize for! It’s Bunshun that’s to blame! And don’t worry about articles from a place that gets people’s names wrong! Miku’s happiness is my happiness! I’m looking forward to the last Mikku LINE of this year, next year’s live and the 4th album! Please continue to be a cheerful Miku!“
Miku’s agency also released a statement in support of the VA, expressing that strict action will be taken against those who pry on the private lives of their talents.
Checkout the full statement below:
“We have confirmed that there are nuisance behaviors such as stalking talents, waiting to enter, and waiting to leave.
Please refrain from such acts, acts of prying into the private lives of talents, and inquiries.
We believe that privacy should be protected in order to deliver the best performance for each job entrusted to us and to work with peace of mind and concentration.
In order to protect the talent, depending on the situation, we may have to report to the police, take legal procedures, etc., so please support us with moderation.“
