Fans Outraged At The Portrayal Of Future Gohan In Super Dragon Ball Heroes

Future Gohan apparently appears as a villain in the series.

Fans of the original Dragon Ball series are apparently enraged over the latest episode of Super Dragon Ball Heroes, a promotional anime for the card and video game name of the same name, as they believe it portrayed Future Gohan in a bad light.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes Episode 42, which is also the second episode from the Supreme Kai of Time arc, featured a villain in black cloak who confronts Goku and Trunks in Super Space-Time Tournament. While the identity of the character remains a mystery, the fact that he was voiced by Masako Nozawa, along with Goku and Piccolo finding the cloaked villain strangely familiar has made fans conclude that he is Future Gohan.

Future Gohan’s exploits in Dragon Ball Z, where he is shown battling androids alone in a hopeless future from where Trunks comes, made him a fan-favorite character. However, his portrayal as a hostile character in Super Dragon Ball Heroes has caused outrage in the original Dragon Ball fandom.

MyJitsu got their hands on some comments, which showcased the fans anger.

“I can’t allow them to use Future Gohan as an enemy character,” a fan said.

“I could forgive Bardock and Goku for falling to the dark side…. But you let Future Gohan go evil and Fight Trunks?” another fan commented, saying the latest development from Super Dragon Ball Heroes was too much of a fad and over eccentric.

“Don’t do Future Gohan bad like this! Really, really stop! You won’t mind treating Future Gohan like this??” other comment by a fan read.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a Japanese original net animation and promotional anime series for the card and video games of the same name. The series premiered on July 1, 2018, and was produced by Toei Animation without the involvement of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.
