Fans Criticize Latest Attack On Titan Illustration For Missing Major Characters Among Others

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3's first part will air as a one hour special on March 3, 2023 on NHK.

The March 2023 issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine had an Attack on Titan illustration by Hajime Isayama on its cover, featuring multiple characters from the manga.

However, the illustration came under criticism from a section of fans as it missed some of their favorite characters.

The illustration currently features Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Hanje, Levi, Erwin, Reiner, Zeke, Ymir, Sasha, Falco, Gabi and even Petra amongst others. You can check out the illustration below:

However, the absence of Historia mainly is what made fans disappointed. Other than Historia, some other prominent characters like Bertholdt, Ymir, Grisha and Carla were missing from the illustration.

“Si they put insignificant characters in that sketch but he forgot some important ones: Historia, Ymir, Bettholdt, Marco, Mina, Shadys, Pixy, Grisha and Carla… What a pity..,” a user commented.

Some fans also pointed out the major spoiler in the illustration, asking posters to take down the image keeping in mind the anime only fans.

However, despite the criticisms, majority of fans were happy to see the illustration, which gave a feeling that all the characters were actually actors in the end, posing for a picture after the wrap up of a shoot.
