The official Twitter account of Dropkick on My Devil! announced on Nov 30, 2022, that they have hit the first 30 million yen milestone of their crowdfunding campaign in just 35 minutes of its launching. To commemorate this achievement, the staff have revealed the production decision of a new OVA for the franchise.

At the time of writing, they have crossed 46 million yen mark.
The staff had previously stated that every 30 million yen mark the campaign hits, a new OVA will be produced. The completed OVA will be given to the crowdfund supporters in the form of Blu-ray disc.
The end goal for Dropkick on My Devil! NEXT project is to produce enough episodes to make an entire fourth season of the series, as well as to hold the largest in person/online event, “Jashin-chan Festival”. The festival is set to take place on May 4, 2023.
They have also mentioned that the funds will be used for various animation expenses, such as main production costs, promotion costs, and other expenses related to animation.
Previously, Furano city, who had decided to aid the production of Dropkick on My Devil X anime (season 3) in exchange of getting a special episode that will be set in the city, froze 33 million yen on grounds of having included inappropriate content in a special episode of the anime, which could tarnish the image of the city.
Third season of the anime was also crowdfunded.

Dropkick on My Devil! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukiwo. The series began serialization in Flex Comix’s Comic Meteor web magazine in April 2012.
