A huge effigy of Broly from Dragon Ball Z franchise was put up at a Durga Pandal in India, as part of the ongoing Navratri Festival.
The pandal’s location was revealed as Panch Mandir Durga Puja pandal at Harmu, Ranchi.
While some might argue that it is hard to make out the character’s identity from the image, the distinct hairstyle and the bracelets are a dead giveaway of the legendary saiyan’s identity.
Broly was accompanied by Marvel and DC superheroes, Spiderman, Batman, and others at the location.

The popularity of anime in India has been on the rise, with the Dragon Ball franchise playing a key role in this, among other big shounen. The presence of Broly at the Navratri festival serves as a testament to this.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly released in Indian theatres on March 29, 2019, making it only the second film in the franchise to be released in the country. It opened the gates for more anime movies to follow including the movie’s sequel, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Incidentally, the latter became the first ever anime movie to get a Hindi dub release in India.
Broly’s presence was communicated to Animehunch Team by YouTuber Whixer (via Sujal).
