Dr. Stone Season 3 Reveals New Trailer, Opening Theme & April 6 Release Date


The official website of the third season of Dr. Stone anime, titled Dr. STONE NEW WORLD, dropped a new trailer featuring the opening theme song on March 12, 2023. The video showcases Senku and the gang’s new quest, set in the Treasure Island.

Huwie Ishizaki will perform the the new opening theme song, “Wasuregataki”.

The site also confirmed that the new season will be broadcast in two cours, the first part of which will start airing on April 6, 2023.

It was recently announced during Jump Festa 2023 that Maaya Sakamoto, known for voicing Echidna in Re:Zero, has been cast to voice Francois, Ryusui’s butler and chef.

Other cast and staff from the previous season will be reprising their roles for the third season.

Dr. Stone

Dr. STONE, written by Riichiro Inagaki, and illustrated by South Korean artist Boichi, started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017. The manga ended on March 7, 2022 in the 14th issue of the magazine.

The story follows teenage scientific genius Senku Ishigami, who plans to rebuild civilization after humanity was mysteriously petrified for 3,700 years.

As of April 2021, the Dr. Stone manga had over 10 million copies in circulation. In 2019, Dr. Stone won the 64th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shonen category.
