Riichiro Inagaki writes the series and artist Boichi from South Korea illustrates. Weekly Shōnen Jump has been serializing the series since March 2017. In addition, Shueisha collects and publishes the individual chapters into eighteen tankōbon volumes as of November 2020.
Viz Media released the English version of the manga in North America. Shueisha simultaneously publishes the series in English on the website and app Manga Plus in January 2019.
An anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment aired from July to December 2019. The second season of the anime series focusing on the “Stone Wars” arc will air in January 2021. Also, in 2019, Dr. Stone won the 64th Shogakukan Manga Award for the shōnen category.
