The 43rd issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump set to release on 27th September, revealed that Riichiro Inagaki and artist Boichi’s manga Dr. STONE will enter its Final Arc from Shonen Jump issue #45.
After the release of Chapter 212 in the upcoming issue, Dr. STONE manga will go on a week-long hiatus returning with Chapter 213 in the 45th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on October 10.
The authors will utilize the hiatus to do research for the final arc.
Following the finale of season 2 of Dr. Stone, the anime series official social media pages put out a trailer announcing season 3, expected to release in 2022.
The English subtitles of the announcement teaser were shared by a Twitter user and it confirms that season 3 will see its heroes embark on an exciting long seafaring journey.
The third season will see the adaptation of the Age of Exploration arc from the original Dr. Stone manga series.
Author Riichiro Inagaki and South Korean artist Boichi illustrated manga Dr. Stone started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2017, with its chapters collected in twenty-two tankōbon volumes as of August 2021.
The story follows teenage scientific genius Senku Ishigami, who plans to rebuild civilization after humanity was mysteriously petrified for 3,700 years.
Viz Media licensed the manga in North America. Shueisha began to simulpublish the series in English on the website and app Manga Plus since January 2019.
