Demon Slayer Character Donates Generous Amount To City In Japan

The amount was deposited in an opinion box placed in the town hall.

Fujimi City in Saitama Prefecture received an anonymous donation of  100,000 yen ( about USD 866 ) in an envelope stating “Please use it for the good of the people,” with the name Kyoujurou Rengoku, a character from Kimetsu no Yaiba.

According to Fujimi City, there wasn’t any letter attached to the donation other than the note on the envelope.

The money would, however, be used for social welfare projects, including support for the disabled and the elderly.

The person in charge expressed his gratitude for the same by stating “We have received a warm donation. We want to make the most of it”.

Fire Hashira, Kyoujuro Rengoku is a major character in Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train arc. He was greatly enthusiastic in regard to his duties as a Hashira and often cheerfully eccentric. He became popular after the Mugen Train arc, where fans praised his charismatic and generous character. He boasted extraordinary technique and swordsmanship stemming from strict practice and discipline.
