Crunchyroll revealed that they will be present in person at Mumbai Comic Con for the first time in its history, giving anime fans something to look forward to at the event.
Animehunch Team got to know more about what the streaming giants will be offering at Mumbai Comic Con.
Crunchyroll will be having a separate booth at the event on both days.
Fans who visit the Crunchyroll booth will be gifted a special Chainsaw Man headband, and can also queue up to take a commemorative Polaroid picture with key visuals from anime including TRIGUN STAMPEDE, Naruto 20th Anniversary, and Chainsaw Man.
Fans also stand a chance to win a special SPY x FAMILY face mask with one of Anya’s iconic faces if they participate in a survey. All giveaways will be available while supplies last.
All Comic Con Mumbai attendees will also receive a special Comic Con welcome kit with Crunchyroll goodies in it, including a complimentary 30-day Crunchyroll subscription (60 day Crunchyroll membership will be gifted to VIP ticket holders). The kit will come with a collectible show poster featuring the 20th anniversary of Naruto and more.
There might also be announcements regarding the anime that will be streaming on Crunchyroll’s platform at Mumbai Comic Con. New information regarding the localization of content, meaning more Hindi Dubs could be on the way.
Mumbai Comic Con is taking place on Feb 11-12, 2023 at the JIO World Center in Bandra-Kurla Complex.
In India, Crunchyroll offers nearly 5,500 episodes of anime and 1,000 hours of dubbed content, with a goal of adding more content (subs and dubs) in the months to come.
Crunchyroll had slashed the subscription prices of their services in India in July. The price of a Crunchyroll Premium membership in India is ₹79/month for its Fan subscription tier and ₹99/month for its Mega Fan tier subscription.
In an interview to Animehunch, Crunchyroll’s COO Brady McCollum had previously said that the streaming site was looking to provide more value to its users.
