Streaming giant Crunchyroll announced on June 28, 2023, that the latest film of the Dragon Ball franchise, titled Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, will be available for streaming exclusively on the platform in India starting July 12, 2023.
The movie will available in Hindi dub and sub.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie released in India on Aug 26, 2022. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures distributed the film in India.
The film was the first truly globally-distributed theatrical release for Crunchyroll, with the film kicking off in more than 100 countries, with 13 dubs and 29 subtitled languages. The film also grossed $96 million worldwide,
making it the 4th-highest grossing anime film in the US.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero released in Japan on June 11, 2022.
The movie was scheduled to be released on April 22 in Japan and was slated to open in North America this summer, however, it was postponed due to the Toei Animation hack on March 6. The film is out in Japan on June 11.
The fully 3DCG film is being directed by Tetsuro Kodama at Toei Animation, and Naoki Satō is composing the music. Nobuhito Sue is the art director, Chikashi Kubota is the animation director, and Jae Hoon Jung is the CG director.
It is the twenty-first Dragon Ball feature film overall, the fourth produced with Toriyama’s direct involvement, the second to carry the Dragon Ball Super branding, and the first to be produced mainly using 3D animation.
