Crunchyroll To Premiere My Hero Academia OVAs, Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 & More At Anime Expo

The Expo will also have panels with special guests from around the world discussing SPY x FAMILY, JUJUTSU KAISEN, Ranking of Kings, and Chainsaw Man anime.

Streaming giant Crunchyroll revealed on June 7, 2022, the anime premiere line-up for the Anime Expo 2022 event including, North American, international and world premieres debuting before the Japanese release.

The following newly licensed anime will have their North American premieres:

  • My Hero Academia Season 5 original video animation (OVAs) titled HLB (Hero League of Baseball) and Laugh! As if you are in hell. The OVAs will screen on July 1 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
  • BLUE LOCK anime – The first episode of the anime will debut on on July 2 at 11:30 a.m. PDT.

The following anime will have world premieres at Anime Expo:

  • Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys! (Bucchigire!) – World premiere of first episode on July 1 at 7:00 p.m. PDT
  • Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation – World premiere of first two episodes on July 2 at 11:30 a.m. PDT
    The following anime will have world premieres at Anime Expo:
  • FUUTO PI – July 2 at 7:30 p.m. PDT
  • In/Spectre Season 2 – July 3 at 3:30 p.m. PDT
  • Shoot! Goal to the Future (episode 2 world premiere) – July 3 at 3:30 p.m. PDT

The following anime will have international premieres at the convention:

  • Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth – July 1 at 7:00 p.m. PDT
  • YUREI DECO – July 2 at 11:30 a.m. PDT
  • Classroom of the Elite Season 2 – July 3 at 3:30 p.m. PDT

In addition, the Anime Expo will also have panels with special guests from around the world discussing SPY x FAMILY, JUJUTSU KAISEN, Ranking of Kings, and Chainsaw Man anime.

It will also include a MOB PSYCHO 100 III KICKOFF PANEL (hosted by WARNER BROS. Japan) on July 3 where the world-premiere of OP theme song will be revealed.

The Expo takes place from July 1 to 4 at the LA Convention Center. This will be the first in-person Anime Expo since 2019.

Anime Expo 2022 attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) or a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event. Masks will be required indoors (except in designated eating areas) and optional outdoors, regardless of vaccination status.
