Streaming giant Crunchyroll announced that have launched a 24/7 anime channel in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment’s GSN on Oct 11, 2023.
The channel will be available on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels (available on LG Smart TVs), The Roku Channel and VIZIO WatchFree+.
The channel will include the English dub of the following anime series during the launch:
- Horimiya
- Ranking of Kings
- Moriarty the Patriot
- PSYCHO–PASS
- Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest
- Sugar Apple Fairytale
- To Your Eternity
- Code Geass
It was previously revealed that the company was on the look-out for a manager for the Crunchyroll Channel, with over 5+ years of experience in media/television or related industry.
Crunchyroll, Inc. is an American distributor, publisher, production and licensing company focused on streaming anime, manga, and dorama. It was founded in 2006 by a group of Berkeley (University of California) graduates. It was acquired by Sony in 2021 from AT&T.
Since then, Crunchyroll has expanded its horizon and launched new plans to penentrate into markets in which it previously didn’t have a major presence, including India.
The platform now serves over a 100 million users worldwide.
