Comic Market aka Comiket celebrated its 100th show in 47 years. The fans graced this event with huge numbers and the official Twitter account of Comiket revealed that number to be over 170,000 people in 2 days.
Each day the footfall was over 85,000 people despite the Typhoon alert on the first day. The staff expected around 160,000 to 180,000 people, the tickets of which were sold in Comiket 99. The reason behind this was the Covid regulations which limited the number of attendees.
Over 10,000 stands were sold which contained doujins, games, books and random things.
The footfall of 170,000 is still less compared to the December 2019’s winter comiket which had 750,000 attendees.
Comiket will return again in December for Winter Comiket.
