During a special screening event at Shinjuku Balt 9 in Tokyo on Dec 7, 2024, it was revealed that multiple new projects in the Code Geass franchise are currently in production.
The announcement comes as the franchise gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026.
The event, which marked the birthdays of key characters Lelouch and Rozé, featured notable appearances from cast members Jun Fukuyama (voice of Lelouch) and Kohei Amasaki (voice of Rozé), as well as series producer Kojiro Taniguchi.
Amasaki hinted at future developments, saying, “I used my own ‘Geass’ to ask Taniguchi to make a sequel, so I hope we can deliver more stories about Rozé and Sakuya to everyone soon.”
Fukuyama also expressed hope that the upcoming projects will continue to captivate audiences.

The Code Geass YouTube channel will also release recap videos between Dec 29, 2024, and Jan 3, 2025.
Another major highlight from the event was the announcement of a new chapter for the smartphone and PC game Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories. The upcoming chapter, titled Dakkan no Rozé, will expand the game’s storyline and continue the saga of its beloved characters.

Code Geass is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise. It was directed by Goro Taniguchi and written by Ichiro Okouchi, with original character designs by Clamp.
Code Geass was broadcast in Japan from October 2006 to July 2007. Its sequel series, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, ran from April to September 2008. The series has also been adapted into various manga and light novels.
The most recent instalment in the franchise is the Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture, a 4-part anime film series which released this year.
The anime is a sequel to Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection movie, and is set in the same alternate timeline of the previous compilation movies Lelouch of the Rebellion and Re;surrection.
