The prestigious Harvey awards were presented at NYCC and Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga won the best manga award for 2 years in a row. No other manga has ever achieved this feat.
The official twitter account for Harvey Awards also released a tweet confirming the news:
Furthermore, there are several fan Twitter accounts who are stating that Fujimoto himself said he wants to make it three consecutive years of winning Harvey awards. He also added that they shouldn’t give him Harvey award that often as it might loose its prestige due to it.
Chainsaw Man anime will start airing in Japan on Oct 11, 2022.
Ryu Nakayama is directing Chainsaw Man anime at MAPPA studio. Hiroshi Seko is writing the scripts, and Kazutaka Sugiyama is designing the characters.
Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Its first part was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020; its second part began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine in July 2022. Its chapters have been collected in 12 tankobon volumes as of October 2022.
