The Harvey Awards an award ceremony of US comic industry has announced the nominees for Best Manga category. The nominees include previous years winner Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
The list of nominees is as follows:
- Blood on the Tracks by Shuzo Oshimi, translated by Daniel Komen (Vertical Comics)
- Blue Lock by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, translated by Nate Derr(Kodansha Comics)
- Cat + Gamer by Wataru Nadatani, translated by Zack Davission (Dark Horse Comics)
- Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimot, translated by Amanda Haley (VIZ Media)
- Red Flowers by Yoshiharu Tsuge, translated by Ryan Holmberg (Drawn & Quarterly)
- Spy X Family by Tatsua Endo, translated by Casey Loe (VIZ Media)
The awards will be livestreamed on Sept 7, 2022 at New York Comic Con.
The Harvey Awards recognizes and honors exceptional works in the fields of comics and arts. It is one of comic industry’s oldest and most prestigious awards.
Though Harvey Awards began way back in 1988, the Best Manga category was only added in 2018. Before that, manga were nominated alongside other comics in the “Best American Edition of Foreign Material” category.
