The official website for Blue Lock released the third character promotional video featuring the “egoist” forward player Kunigami Rensuke on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

A new key visual was also unveiled along with the announcement.

The franchise website described Rensuke as a straightforward character with humor and egoism who wants to become “a superhero of soccer”.

Previously, Blue Lock had unveiled two more character PVs for Yoichi Isagi and Bachira Meguru of the Blue Lock Eleven.

The Blue Lock anime series is set to premiere in 2022.

The cast includes:

• Yoichi Isagi: Ura Kazuki
• Hyōma Chigiri: Saitō Sōma
• Meguru Bachira: Kaito Tasuku
• Rensuke Kunigami: Ono Yūki

The soccer anime will be animated by Eight Bit studio and directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe with Shunsuke Ishikawa serving as assistant director. Music will be provided by Jun Murayama, Taku Kishimoto is handling series composition and the script, Masaru Shindō is providing the main character designs and serving as chief animation director, and Hisashi Tojima serving as the chief action director.

Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018.

Blue Lock won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.
