Blue Lock Season 2 Unveils New Cast Members, Key Visual & PVs Ahead Of ‘Blue Lock Eleven Vs U-20 Japan’ Match

Blue Lock anime has unveiled new cast members, a key visual, and two promo videos ahead of the ‘Blue Lock Eleven vs. U-20 Japan Team‘ match, which is set to kick off in the 6th episode of season 2.

The episode will air on Nov 9, 2024.

The newly announced cast will voice U-20 Japan team. They are:

  • Jun Kasama as Kento Chou
  • Gakuto Kajiwara as Teru Kitsunezato
  • Taito Ban as Itsuki Wakatsuki
  • Kensho Ono as Haru Hayate
  • Yusuke Shirai as Miroku Darai
  • Takuya Sato as Kazama Niou
  • Shunichi Toki as Teppei Neru
  • Chikahiro Kobayashi as Gen Fukaku
  • Yuichi Nakamura as Ryusei Shidou

The new key visual features players from both teams, including Yoichi Isagi, Rin Itoshi, Seishiro Nagi, Ryusei Shidou, Sae Itoshi, and Oliver Aiku.

Morever, the two PVs, one each for Blue Lock and the U-20 Japan National Team, unveiled the voices of the newly announced characters.

Blue Lock anime season 2 started airing on Oct 5, 2024, and will run for 14 episodes. It also premiered globally on Crunchyroll on the same day.

The opening theme song, Boujaku no Charisma, is performed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, while Jpop band Snow Man performed the ending theme song ‘One’.

Season 1 of the anime adaptation produced by Eight Bit aired from October 2022 to March 2023. An anime film adaptation based on the Episode Nagi manga premiered in April 2024.

Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018, with its chapters collected in 29 tankobon volumes as of May 2024.

spin-off manga focusing on Seishiro Nagi has also started serialization in the July issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.

Blue Lock won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.
