The official official website of Black Clover at last dropped a new trailer for the upcoming anime film on Oct 6, 2022. The anime film will be titled “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King“.

It will hit the Japanese theatres on March 31, 2023, and will also be distributed worldwide on Netflix.

In addition to this, a teaser poster illustrated by Yuki Tabata, mangaka of Black Clover, as well as his comment has also been revealed.

Tabata’s comment:

The story is about the “magic emperor”, which I was wondering whether to do in the original work or not. But I think it will be a movie where you will be able to enjoy the large scale and flashy battles between Asta and his powerful enemies! Director Tanemura and Studio Pierrot are working hard to make this movie…! Thank you very much! Look forward to next March!!!! I’m looking forward to it too!

It was announced on March 28, 2022 that Black Clover will be receiving an anime film.

Yūki Tabata‘s Black Clover has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since February 2015, with its chapters collected in 30 tankōbon volumes as of October 2021.

The plot follows Asta, a young boy born without any magic power. This is unknown to the world he lives in because seemingly everyone has some sort of magic power. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.

The manga was first adapted into an original video animation produced by Xebec Zwei, released in 2017. An anime television series adaptation produced by Pierrot, aired in Japan on TV Tokyo from October 2017 to March 2021.
