POS tracking giant, NPD BookScan, put out its list of top 20 Adult graphic novels for the month of December 2022, on Jan 9, 2023, in which 18 of the 20 spots were occupied by manga volumes.

The first volume of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga once again topped the best selling list.

While Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen and Spy x Family continue to feature in the list, Kentaro Miura’s Berserk and Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s Blue Lock also made the cut. Dragon Ball Super manga too found a spot within the top ten titles of the list.

The rankings are prepared after NPD collects weekly point-of-sale data on print books from over 16,000 locations including e-tailers, chains, mass merchandisers, independent bookstores, and more.
