Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition Reveals New Visual, October Premiere

Ending theme song was also revealed.

The official website of Berserk: The Golden Age Arc- Memorial Edition unveiled a new visual by the chief animation director, Naoyuki Onda, for the anime on Aug 9, 2022. The anime is set to start broadcasting in October 2022.

The Golden Age Arc- Memorial Edition will include an original story which will be animated under the supervision of Onda, titled ‘Bonfire of Dreams‘.

Hundreds of existing cuts will be edited and remastered in the series, as per the official website.

It was previously revealed that Berserk: Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition will consist of the Golden Age Arc trilogy movies including three movies titled, Berserk: Golden Age Arc I – The Egg of the KingBerserk: Golden Age Arc II – The Battle for DoldreyBerserk: Golden Age Arc III – The Advent.

Yuta Sano will be directing the memorial edition at Studio 4 ℃.

The opening theme ‘Aria’ is performed by Susumu Hirasawa, and the ending theme ‘Wish’ will be performed by Mika Nakashima.

Moreover, Aniplex’s official YouTube channel also put out a video where Hiroaki Iwanaga, who voices Guts in the series, talks about his role and Berserk: The Golden Age Arc- Memorial Edition anime.

The official website describes the story as:

 I have believed only in my sword.

Guts, a lonely swordsman with no friends, no family, and no hometown to return to, has been traveling around as a mercenary in a land ravaged by the Hundred Years War. Guts is able to handle a sword longer than him and easily defeat powerful enemies.

Griffith, the leader of the mercenary group “Band of the Hawk,” notices Guts. Commanding a power that’s unimaginable with his beautiful appearance and great ambitions, wins Guts in a duel and brings him into the Band of the Hawk to fulfill his own dream. As they go through numerous fierce battles together, the companions become bound by trust.

The bond between Griffith and Guts, in particular, has become something special.
