Right after the news of mangaka Kentaro Miura’s passing Berserk’s Deluxe Edition volumes published by Dark Horse Comics gained tremendous fame. All 8 editions of the manga ranked among Amazon’s 100 Overall Best-Selling Books List.

AnimeHunch confirms that 7 editions of the manga are still ranking in the top 100. At the press time on Tuesday, Volume 1 is in the 17th position which was once spotted at rank 4th. Most of the other versions are still among the Top 50. When considered that how millions of books are competing with Berserk on Amazon, this really shows how well they’re selling.

After Mr. Miura’s passing, Dark Horse, the American publisher of Berserk, put out this statement:

“Miura-sensei was a master artist and storyteller and we had the great privilege of publishing several of his finest works, including his masterpiece, Berserk. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences go out to his family and loved ones.”

Many other creators have shared their condolences and messages to the legend through social media sites. A joint interview with a fellow mangaka, Shizuya Wazarai at Hakusensha revealed how Miura was going to end the Berserk series. But, he passed away before he could do that at the age of 54.
