Bandai Namco released a press statement accepting that their internal systems were hacked by an unspecified party on July 3, 2022. They added that the hackers have gained access to Bandai Namco‘s systems of multiple groups outside Japan.
Bandai Namco also accepted that customer information to toys and hobby businesses of those regions may have been accessed by the hackers. They are currently investigating the attack and said the hack would not have any major impact on their business.
They further added that they are strengthening the security of the organizations of the Group outside Japan to avoid such mishaps in the future.
