Ayakashi Triangle Manga Transfers To Shonen Jump+ To Avoid Censorship

The manga was published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine having multiple censored chapters.

A leaked colour page of the 20th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump featuring the character Suzu Kanade announced on Thursday, April 14, 2022, that the Ayakashi Triangle manga will be transferred to Shueisha’s digital publication service, Shonen Jump Plus, beginning April 25.

The reason for the transfer has not been mentioned clearly, however, the author Kentarou Yabuki‘s note states that he will now have the chance to “finally make stories that would have been difficult to tell in the past due to circumstances”.

Ayakashi Triangle was published in the print publication of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine having multiple censored chapters due to restrictions posed by the editing department for the shonen (children and adolescents) demographics. It was not until the compilation volumes, that the work was finally released without censorship.

The series’ chapters 74 and 75 were not distributed in the West via the MANGA Plus service.

In Jump+, although the frequency of the chapter release has not been confirmed, it was revealed that the manga will have a color page in each new chapter.

Yabuki will publish the final chapter in Weekly Shonen Jump in issue #20 scheduled to release on April 18.
