Attack on Titan Manga Thanks Fans With Titan-Sized Display in Shinjuku Station

Japan's longest and one of the largest screens will play a "thank you" message to commemorate the release of the 34th volume of Attack on Titan.

To commemorate the release of the 34th volume i.e. the Final volume of Hajime Isayama’s “Attack on Titan” manga on June 9th, Kodansha released a “thank you” video on a 45.6 meters long LED panel at the JR Shinjuku Station at 23:59 from today.

Bessatsu Shonen Magazine captured the first video of the screen:

The Titan-sized panel titled “Grateful Titans(感激の巨人)” will play a message from the editorial staff of the series featuring all the heads of the titans who appeared in the series. The video will express the end of the 12-year story and the feelings of gratitude to the fans who have supported it so far on the screen for the next seven days

JR Shinjuku Station Led Panel Attack on Titan

The LED panel at the JR Shinjuku Station East-West Free Passage is the longest and one of the largest screens in Japan. It measures about three times as long as Eren’s Attack Titan(about 15 meters).

Attack on Titan started in September 2009 in Kodansha’s monthly Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from September 2009 to April 2021. It is collected into 33 tankōbon volumes as of January 2021.

Hajime Isayama’s manga Attack on Titan is about a world where humanity lives inside three enormous walls that protect them from the gigantic man-eating Titans; the story follows Eren Yeager, who vows to exterminate the Titans after a Titan brings about the destruction of his hometown and the death of his mother.
