Yugo Kobayashi’s Aoashi manga released a new collaboration illustration with Scottish football giants Celtic F.C., on Nov 21, 2022.
The illustration features Celtic F.C.’s Yugo Furuhashi, and Aoashi‘s protagonist Ashito Aoi wearing the green and white stripe jersey of the former’s club. Both are doing the mushroom pose, which Aoi does after scoring a goal.
The illustration was published in issue #51 of Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine.
A special line of goods too will be released as part of the collaboration between the two, with more details set to be released in a future date on the official website of Celtic F.C. and the official twitter account of Aoashi.
A discussion between Kobayashi and Furuhashi too has been published in the magazine’s 51st issue.
Aoashi is a manga written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi. It has been serialized in Shogakukan‘s seinen manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits since January 2015. The manga has over 15 million copies in circulation.
The series involves youth football player Ashito Aoi and his journey and experiences in the Tokyo Esperion youth academy.
In 2020, the manga won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category. An anime adaptation by Production I.G. aired on April 2022 in Japan.
