Aniplex has officially revealed that its previously teased mystery anime project is an adaptation of Sakae Saito’s Touring After The Apocalypse (Shumatsu Touring) manga.
The announcement was made on Feb 24, 2025, confirming that the anime series will debut this year, with animation production handled by Nexus.
The announcement confirms fan speculation, which had been brewing since Aniplex first shared a cryptic teaser on its official X account. The teaser featured a visual of two girls standing beside a motorcycle on the streets of Shibuya, fueling theories that the project was linked to Touring After The Apocalypse.
The series will star Konomi Inagaki as Youko and Miyu Tomita as Airi.
A PV and visual for the anime were revealed to commemorate the announcement.

Touring After The Apocalypse is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Sakae Saito. It began serialization in ASCII Media Works’ seinen manga magazine Dengeki Maoh in September 2020.
MyAnimeList describes the plot of the manga as:
All alone after the end of days, two girls bike through the empty ruins of Japan—and they’re not about to let the collapse of civilization get in the way of sightseeing! Even when the world ends, their journey goes on.
