AnimeJapan 2025 set a new attendance record, drawing an estimated 152,400 visitors over two days at Tokyo Big Sight, a 115% increase from last year, making it the largest edition of the event to date.
The surge in attendance outpaced AnimeJapan 2024’s 132% growth.
Held over two days, March 22–23, at Tokyo Big Sight, the event featured 116 exhibitors, the highest number ever, and a total of 52 stage events across four stages, including the newly introduced WHITE Stage.
Popular attractions such as the Cosplayers’ World and the Family Anime Festa were also hosted on the largest scale to date. In addition, the event also featured a special stage by AnimeJapan 2025 ambassador, the idol group Sakurazaka46.
According to the AnimeJapan Executive Committee, approximately one in ten attendees traveled from overseas.
Organizers also confirmed that AnimeJapan 2026 will return to Tokyo Big Sight, with Public Days scheduled for March 28–29 and Business Days for March 30–31.
