The official website of Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2 revealed a brand new trailer for its upcoming cour 2 on Aug 24, 2023.

The trailer previews new opening theme song, “Nerasareta Lineage,” performed by JUNNA.

Moreover, JUNNA has provided her comment regarding her involvement in the second cour of season 2, which can be read below:

“I am honored to be entrusted with the opening theme for the second cour of ‘The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2,’ following my involvement in the first cour. As the story of Mahoyome (The Ancient Magus’ Bride) continues to unfold, the difficulty level of the music itself has increased. Recording it, I felt challenged and almost overwhelmed. However, I naturally thought about how Chise would face this situation and how she would confront it. With that mindset, I sang ‘Nerasareta Lineage.’ It’s a thrilling yet warm song, and I hope you can enjoy it along with the anime.“

Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2 cour 2  will start airing on Oct 5, 2023.

Cour 1 of the second season aired on April 6, 2023, in Japan.

The Ancient Magus’ Bride is a manga written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki, with its chapters collected into 17 volumes as of March 2022. It began serialization in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine from November 2013. It was shifted to Monthly Comic Garden after September 2014 when Comic Blade magazine ceased publishing.

The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

A three-part prequel anime OVA was produced by Wit Studio and an anime television series aired from October 2017 to March 2018.

An original three-part OVA series by Studio Kafka was released in September 2021.
