Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Oshi No Ko author Aka Akasaka is set to launch a new fantasy romance series titled Maerchen Crown on March 20, 2025.
The manga will debut in Weekly Young Jump issue 16/2025, featuring artwork by Ajichika, the artist unit behind Record Of Ragnarok, and series composition by Aoi Kujira.
Described as a fantasy romance in a fairytale-like world, the story revolves around the love between a prince and a princess, seemingly bound by fate.
Akasaka’s recent manga, Oshi No Ko, illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, concluded on Nov 14, 2024, with the release of chapter 166 in Weekly Young Jump Issue 50.
Following the end of Kaguya-sama, Akasaka had announced on Nov 3, 2022, that he would retire from drawing manga to instead focus on writing.
