The official website of A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime revealed the release date and a new trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of the Korean Webcomic.
The trailer features the opening theme song GET BACK which is performed by FLOW.
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime will release in Japan on Oct 7, 2023 and will be broadcast of Tokyo MX and other channels. Crunchyroll will simulcast the series as it airs in Japan.
A new key visual was also revealed.
Additionally it was also revealed that Asami Seto will join the cast of the series to voice Azest Kingscrown.

Azest is portrayed as a character with strength and composure, and their magical abilities are truly impressive. The anime adaptation of A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special is being done by Arvo Animation. Taishi Kawaguchi is directing the anime while Takamitsu Kuono is in charge of series composition and scripts. Character Designs are being handled by Hiromi Kato and Kenta Higashioji is composing the music of the anime.
The anime adaptation of the webcomic was announced at this year’s AnimeJapan on March 25, 2023.
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special is a webcomic illustrated by Wookjakga which began serializing in 2018. It is based on Yoo So-Nan web novel which he started publishing in 2016.
Yoo So-Nan is credited for the story of the webcomic too.
The manhwa currently has released 236 chapters (5 seasons). The chapters are available on Kakaopage (Korean), Tapas (English) and Tappytoon (English). Yen Press is also releasing the series in English.
