A Retuner’s Magic Should Be Special Manhwa Gets Anime Adaptation

Anime production company Aniplex, made an announcement at this year’s AnimeJapan on March 25, 2023, that Korean webcomic series A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special will be getting an anime adaptation.

The anime is slated to release sometime in 2023.

Crunchyroll will be simulcasting the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS territories.

A new key visual was released to commemorate the announcement.

Additionally it was announced that Takuma Terashima will be voicing the main character Desir Herman. An official website and Twitter account were also unveiled.

Additional details regarding cast, staff and studio will be announced soon.

A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special is a webcomic illustrated by Wookjakga which began serializing in 2018. It is based on Yoo So-Nan web novel which he started publishing in 2016.

Yoo So-Nan is credited for the story of the webcomic too.

The manhwa currently has released 219 chapters (4 seasons). The chapters are available on Kakaopage (Korean), Tapas (English) and Tappytoon (English). Yen Press is also releasing the series in English.

The plot of the manhwa is described by MAL as follows:
