Aimer‘s latest music video, “Zankyo Sanka”, the opening theme for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc, was streamed 1 million times within less than a day of its debut. Aimer posted the 3-minute video on her official YouTube channel at 00:00 on Dec 13 (JST).
At the time of writing, the YouTube video had already reached 2,201,514 views.
In a tweet, Aimer commented on her success saying, “I’m really happy. Thank you to everyone who watched it. I’ll watch it again, tasting the sweets of success.”
She also shared an image showcasing the feat.
On Dec 5, 2021, the song “Zankyo Sanka” was uploaded digitally for the first time, and it quickly rose to No. 1 on 48 domestic and 23 international digital charts.
Aimer’s double A-side 20th single, “Zankyo Sanka” and “Asa ga Kuru” (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc ED theme), will release in Japan on Jan 12, 2022.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is broadcasted in two course; Fuji TV started airing Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc on Oct 10,2021 followed by Entertainment District Arc on Sunday, Dec 5, 2021.
