Hiromu Arakawa‘s latest manga series Yomi no Tsugai started serialization in the January issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan which released on Dec 10, 2021. Arakawa is the acclaimed manga author of the series Fullmetal Alchemist‘s
The cover of Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine #1/2022 features the main character, Yuru followed by an intro colour spread for the 60-page first chapter.
Square Enix has also released a special 30seconds long promotional video to commemorate the serialization of Arakawa’s work after 11 years.
Arakawa released the first look of “Yomi no Tsugai” on Nov 9,2021.
“Yomi no Tsugai” follows the story of a boy and his imprisoned sister uncovering the secret of a mysterious village. It will also reportedly be a fantasy manga set in feudal Japan focusing on the story of an archer.
Since the conclusion of Fullmetal Alchemist in 2010, Arakawa has been working on her ongoing adaptation of The Heroic Legend of Arslan manga, which is based on a series of novels by Yoshiki Tanaka.
On July 12, 2021, a special program commemorated the 20th anniversary of Hiromu Arakawa’s internationally popular manga Fullmetal Alchemist and announced the start of this new series.
