The official website of PVR Cinemas has added a new entry to their “coming soon” list of films. One of them is My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission.
That’s right! PVR Pictures have finally brought the critically acclaimed film to India as part of their exclusive arrangement with ODEX, the largest Japanese animation film distributor in South East Asia.
Previously, PVR released the first two My Hero Academia films – Two Heroes and Heroes Rising for Indian audiences in February and March 2021 respectively. They’re now set to release the 3rd movie “World Heroes’ Mission” on December 3rd, 2021, in Japanese with English subtitles.
Assuming the same scenario for the previous films, the film is listed for screenings in Mumbai, Delhi and NCR (National Capital Region), Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, and Kochi.
Check out the PVRCinemas website and Bookmyshow.com for bookings whenever they open.
My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes Mission, the third feature film in the My Hero Academia anime franchise is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s sci-fi action shonen manga, released in 320 theaters across Japan on August 6, 2021.
Over the first four days of release, which was a long weekend in Japan thanks to Mountain Day being moved for the Tokyo Olympics Closing Ceremony, World Heroes Mission made more than 940 million yen (US$8.52 million) on 720,000 tickets sold. Heroes: Rising, over its entire box office run, made 1.79 billion yen (US$15.1 million), less than double what World Heroes Mission made in one weekend.
