Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Is Submitted For Oscar Nominations

Demom Slayer Movie, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train has been submitted for Oscar nominations for Animated Feature Film. The Warp reported that a total of 27 movies are in consideration for the Animated Feature Film at the 93rd Annual Academy Awards. At most 5 movies will be selected from this list.

The anime movies listed are :

  • Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train based on manga by Koyoharu Gotouge
  • Studio Ghibli and Goro Miyazaki’s Earwig and the Witch
  • Lupin III THE FIRST based on manga series by Monkey Punch
  • Kenji Iwaisawa’s ON-GAKU: Our Sound
  • Masaaki Yuasa’s Ride Your Wave
  • Junichi Sato and Tomotaka Shibayama’s A Whisker Away

The 93rd Academy Award is scheduled for 25 April. The final list of nominations will be released on March 15. In 2020, out of the 32 films submitted for nominations in the Animated Feature category , no anime films got the nomination.
